Meet Irene Morales, one of our new Advisory Board Members! 🎉
Irene Morales serves as a Security Clerk at GECU, where she plays a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of the credit union's security operations. She has been instrumental in streamlining administrative processes within the security department, ensuring a safe environment for both employees and members. Irene is also actively involved with GECU Young Professionals, serving as the leader of the outreach committee and as an advisor!

Meet Kristen Barraza, one of our new Advisory Board Members! 🎉
Kristen Barraza serves as the Communications Coordinator at GECU and has been a part of GECU for almost 6 years. During her time at GECU, she has specialized in different areas of the credit union, including Member Service Representative, and Collections Clerk leading up to her current role as Communication Coordinator.

Meet Christian Diaz, one of our new Advisory Board Members! 🎉
Christian Diaz serves as the Vice President of Economic Development at The Borderplex Alliance, leading efforts to attract and expand companies within the region. Before his full-time engagement with the economic development team, Christian was the director of special initiatives for the Borderplex 2025 Strategic Plan. Furthermore, he serves on the Athletics Fan Council and is a part of the Miner Nation Collaborators program!

Meet Elizabeth Vega, one of our new Advisory Board Members! 🎉
She serves as the Manager for Marketing and Digital Strategies for El Paso Locomotive FC, overseeing the Marketing, Digital Advertising, social media, Branding, and Mascot for the team. Furthermore, she helped develop the Locomotive brand before the 2019 inaugural campaign! Her role in the organization consisted of developing a mission statement, assisting in brand development, and running all club social media platforms.

Last week, our advisory board members came together to spread some holiday cheer at the Opportunity Center for the Homeless. They helped sort clothing donations and brought donations for their winter clothing drive. ✨🫶
On Monday, we held a very special event, our Holiday Feast.✨
Young Leaders came and gathered at the Chamizal Community Center to give thanks, celebrate, and learn about the United Way of El Paso Parents as Teachers Program. We are so grateful for Raiz Federal Credit Union’s sponsorship, the local chefs who cooked our delicious meal, and everyone who came and made this a great event.
