Today the Gunners, Spartans, and H2F teams had the opportunity to take the UTEP Football players and staff through some Soldier related physical training to build physical and mental toughness! Thank you Coach Walden for giving us the chance to collaborate and continue to build a lead from the front culture!

Motivational Monday- along with command maintenance on Monday, the Gunners had to compete today in some physical, mental, and team skills to win the the Star of the week!

Bulldog battery came out victorious this week in the team competition! Winning matters especially when you have good teammates!

Yesterday, we wrapped up a great Gunner Battalion Organization Day at Biggs Park on Fort Bliss! Thank you to all the families that came out and supported the event! A great day to build the team and get to know each other! We had a lot of fun and some great competition! The winners are:

Today, SPC Tucker from HHB conducted her reenlistment ceremony at the Army’s 249th Birthday Ceremony at the Pentagon in Washington DC!!! SPC Tucker works in our S1 section. Great job representing the Gunners!

The Gunners Org day is on! The 1st event today was the battalion dodge ball tournament! There were a lot of great games! The five "D's" of dodgeball were in full effect “dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge!” The championship game came down the to HHB Fist vs A btry! The Assassins came out victorious!

Today, the Gunners and Charlie Battery said farewell to CPT Tavai at the Change of Command Ceremony, and welcomed CPT Howse as the new Conqueror 6 to the Gunner Legacy!

Thank you again CPT Tavai for your dedication, warrior ethos, care, and skill as a mentor and a leader for Charlie Battery. CPT Howse, we looked forward to your leadership and where you will take Conqueror Btry!

The Gunners softball team won their elite eight game tonight 33-16. We play in the semifinal tomorrow at 1900 in the Commander’s Cup! The bats were hot tonight! Great team effort!

On Friday we had the great opportunity to promote Warrant Officer One (WO1) Nicholas Young to Warrant Officer Two(WO2). He now will be called Chief Young! He is supported by his wife, Denise Young, and children, Luna and Jordan!

"Maintenance Appreciation Day"

This week the Gunners and the rest of the maintainers in 1st Brigade, 1st Armored Division gathered together to appreciate the maintainers from among the Ready First Team, that keep the paladins and supporting equipment mission ready. CSM Christopher Carey and chaplains CPT Schnetz and CPT Runals gave encouraging words, followed by a time of music and food served by senior leadership at Biggs Park. Colonel Kirby R. Dennis had the opportunity to personally greet and thank the maintainers of the 1-1 AD during this event.

Fox battery is the heart of our organization and we appreciate all you do to keep us in the fight!

The Gunners are wrapping up our field exercise with a little direct fire! It has been a great week in the field! The team has wrapped up Artillery Table 6 with all 17 crews and a jump crew qualified, 5 FDCs, and 2 Radar sections! A few more small arms ranges and that is a wrap!

Today, the University of Arizona ROTC visited the Gunners to learn about the Field Artillery! The cadets had the opportunity to visit the gunline, FDC, the Fire Supporters, and the radars!

The strength of our Soldiers are its Families!

Today the Gunners hosted Gunner family day out at Doña Ana. We had over 100 family members come out for the event. The families were able to see static displays, try MREs, test our chemical equipment, test fire our weapons, and see a Paladin live fire! We also reenlisted 2 Soldiers in front of the crowd! After, the families were able to share a meal with their Soldier and talk about their current training!

We want to thank everyone for coming out and supporting the team! We will continue to post photos of the event!

Another busy week for the Gunners! The battalion participated in an alert exercise, which tested our readiness, and the Bulldogs crushed it! We had the opportunity to hear from Ready 6 and 7 at the state of the bde! We slowed down a little at the end of the week to talk about resiliency!

But the most important thing we did all week was recognize excellence! Thank you for all you do!

Next week we head to the field for Artillery Table 6 and one section will be named Top Gun!

Gunners love a good party! On Thursday the team supported the Iron Steel St. Barbara Day ball at Fort Bliss!
