The Broward Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) and its division of the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), kicked off “Operation Southern Slow Down,” a joint effort with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the southeastern states of Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee. This operation is focused on detecting and citing drivers for exceeding speed limits. Remember to leave early, slow down and drive safely.
