Today is World Aids Day, and Getcarebroward is on a mission to support HIV/AIDS patients! The Ryan White Part A Program provides HIV-related services to over 8,500 residents each year. Members of the Broward County Board of County Commissioners vote internally for the positions each year.

Broward Mayor Lamar P. Fisher will deliver the 2023 Broward State of the County Address on Tuesday, November 28 beginning at 10AM.

With the influx of cruise guests traveling during the Thanksgiving holiday, port users and visitors should expect traffic delays from Monday, November 20th to Friday, December 1st. Motorists are encouraged to allow for additional drive time. 🚨 Taxi and shared-ride services are encouraged as parking will be limited.
To expedite access into the port, have photo IDs and cruise confirmations ready when approaching the security checkpoints.

The Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division is continuing drawbridge inspections today in the City of Fort Lauderdale. Some lanes might be closed between 8:30AM and 4:30PM. Please be mindful of traffic delays and drive carefully.
The inspection schedule is as follows:
SW 4th/7th Avenue Bridge
▶️Wednesday, November 8 - Southbound Outside Lane Closure
▶️Thursday, November 9 - Northbound Outside Lane Closure
The inspections for the SE 3rd Avenue Bridge are already complete.

Sea turtle nesting season occurs between March 1st and October 31st each year and has been monitored since 1981. Long-term trends show an increase in nesting over time, but threats such as artificial lighting can endanger the population.
