Mango Run 2022

Memorial Day is here. I hope you all are able to take a knee, relax and positively reflect on what this weekend is all about. Harry S. Truman once said, "Our debt to the heroic men and valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid. They have earned our undying gratitude. America will never forget their sacrifices." Please honor the sacrifice of our heroes that have gone before us in a way meaningful to you. For some it’s BBQ and socializing with friends, that’s cool. Some of you may participate in ceremonies or parades. Good stuff. Others will go to a dark place and mourn the loss of comrades, and if that is part of your process, that is ok too. Just come back to the land of the living with the rest of us. Always reach out for help when you need it, so we can continue to honor our fallen heroes today and tomorrow. -Two Guns

TIME SENSITIVE CALL TO ACTION (HB1838, TXGANG Database Transparency and Accountability):
(CTA #2, Needs to be completed by Monday morning, 29-Mar-2021)

We are being faced with every roadblock imaginable in order to not have this bill heard in the Homeland Security and Public Safety committee hearing process. We need each and every one of you to call the committee members below and request that they give this bill a hearing. Getting these bills filed is a small victory but the battle continues. It is up to this Community to continue to raise awareness and give this legislation a chance to be heard. Not only that, but to give those most affected by the misuse a chance to be heard at the Capitol.

Below is a brief example of what you might say when calling or writing the committee member. Additionally, we have also included the phone numbers and email links for each. It is important, regardless of where you live that this is done, but if they are your legislator, let them know. We need everyone together, in the same boat, rowing in the same direction to get this done.

Thank you and as always,
LOUD BIKERS SAVE RIGHTS!!

Rep. Tony Tinderholt (512) 463-0624 District 94/ Arlington

Example of what you could say,

“Hello, my name is ________ and as a Texan, I am officially requesting that HB 1838 be heard before the Homeland Security and Public Safety Committee of which you are a part. It is important to me and my family to see our legislators listen to those most adversely affected by their improper inclusion in the Texas Gang Database (TXGANG). We continue to look for a legislative fix since there is no clear and just path to challenge its misapplication.

• HB1838, relating to intelligence databases for combinations and criminal street gangs, because our community has witnessed the arbitrary inclusion of motorcyclists into the Texas Gang Database who do not have an affiliation with known or defined street gangs identified by Texas DPS threat assessment reports. Although this was designed to be an investigatory tool not to infringe on anyone’s rights, it has turned into a punitive list to chill Constitutional rights as agreed upon by two Federal judges in El Paso and Bexar Counties. Many others have come forward reporting their inclusion and describing the impossible task of getting off of the list and the negative impact it has had on their professional and personal lives. All without due process.

My family and my community thank you for your time and look forward to seeing this legislation move to the next step.

Respectfully,

Rough Riders MC Chisholm Chapter

The Rough Riders Motorcycle Club (RRMC) is a traditional motorcycle club and, as a member of the motorcycle community, respects all, yet affiliates with none. The RRMC is dedicated to veterans’ causes as well as POW*MIA issues and awareness, and the RRMC mission is to support all veterans, veteran groups, and veteran hospitals. The Rough Riders MC is designated a Public Charity by the Internal Revenue Service. Gifts made to the Rough Riders MC are tax deductible.

The Chisholm Chapter, located in Fort Worth, Texas, received its charter in August of 2008, and is named after the Chisholm Trail. Spanning from San Antonio, Texas, to Caldwell, Kansas, the Chisholm Trail served as the major route over which hundreds of thousands of Texas longhorns were driven north to market. The trail is named for Jesse Chisholm, an Indian scout and trader, who drove his wagons, heavily loaded with buffalo hides, to his trading post in the north. The wheels cutting deep ruts into the prairie marked a route for the herds to follow. As the last major stop along the Chisholm Trail, Fort Worth and its stockyard became the premier livestock center for the cattle industry.
