Practical Life Through the Ages, Part One – Early Childhood: The Drive Toward Physical Autonomy Practical Life during Early Childhood is more about healthy development than clean tables and floors.

The Middle School students made the most of the amazing weather and headed to The Reed Center in Middletown for a day of education and tree planting! They planted a ‘living fence’ of hawthorn trees along the top edge of their huge Tree of Life living, breathing food forest. Very cool!

We don’t have a fabulous outdoor environment. In fact, we have very little outdoor space at all. But our children still found a way to construct a fort during recess. I love the ingenuity and imagination of children!

Carroll Creek Montessori Public Charter School students in the Spanish Experience class built an ofrenda as part of their studies on Día de Los Mu***os.

Younger students made various traditional items such as tissue paper marigolds and butterflies. The older students assembled the items to create the beautiful ofrenda, and then students/families brought in photos and other mementos to honor the memories of loved ones who have passed away.
