Have you seen the yellow and black Place signs around town? Youth and young adults (under 24) in Fresno County can access immediate help and safety at any location with a Safe Place sign. Some locations include: Fresno Unified School District, Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County, Fresno Area Express buses, and City of Clovis Transit. This week is and Fresno EOC Sanctuary Homeless Services is grateful to all of our Safe Place Safe Place sites that help make-up the safety net for young people in our community.

Today marks the start of the 2024 National Safe Place Week. Safe Place is a national outreach and prevention program for young people under the age of 24 (in Fresno) who are in crisis and in need of referrals or services. This week celebrated the 20th anniversary recognizing the Safe Place partners throughout communities across the United States.
Applications for the Advancing Fresno County Guaranteed Income program in Southwest Fresno and Huron will open tomorrow! If you are pregnant or have young children, you could be eligible to receive $500 monthly support for a year. The recipients will be randomly selected through a lottery system. This program aims to empower families, reduce poverty, and create a stronger and more resilient community.

Fresno EOC is proud to announce its newest program, Advancing Fresno County Guaranteed Income.
Families living in specific zip codes are eligible to apply for a program that provides $500 per month for a period of 12 months. This monthly cash payment is intended to supplement income for households residing in vulnerable communities, with the aim of uplifting families and promoting financial stability. There are no limitations on how the money can be spent.
Applications will open March 15th, 2024, and close on May 15th 2024 at 11:59 PM.

🗓️ PUBLIC NOTICE: We would like to inform you that the Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) for low-income households for Fresno County will end on March 31, 2024. After this date, California will no longer receive funding for LIHWAP.
Funds will be allocated based on eligibility criteria and available on a first-come, first-served basis. These funds will remain accessible until fully utilized or the program ends on March 31, 2024.
Yesterday the Housing and Outreach teams conducted the annual Warming with Care event. We provided 132 packs full of warming items, food and a sleeping bag to keep some of the most vulnerable warm during these cold winter nights.

Fresno EOC Food Services aims to fight food insecurity by providing FREE and nutritious meals to children aged 1-18 and individuals over 19 with disabilities during the winter break.

Did you know that over 61,680 children in Fresno face food insecurity? We're stepping up to address this issue by extending our reach to rural areas with the Food Express Bus visiting five locations in both Fresno County and the City of Fresno.

Making Spirits Bright is made possible, not only by the staff and volunteers, but by the generous donors who provide the special items for each family. Not only do the children receive gifts and personalized stockings, parents received gift cards to help them with their needs. On Saturday, Sanctuary staff and volunteers delivered Christmas gifts, stockings, trees, decorations and food to nearly 80 children from 25 low-income families identified by our partner this year, Fresno Unified School District Kirk Elementary School for the 30th year of Making Spirits Bright.
