Today in support of OLIVE Foundation we participated in the Red Sand Project, filling the sidewalk cracks with red sand to spread awareness of the vulnerabilities that can lead to exploitation.

Yesterday the Fresno County Board of Supervisors convened to have their annual proclamation announcing that January is recognized as Anti-Human Trafficking awareness month.

“Oh the sweaters outside are frightful” - Program staff and Sanctuary Director dressed up in their ugly sweaters for the week before Christmas dress up days.

Thank you to the generous donors at Valley Skin Institute for helping 8 families enrolled in CVAHT and Fresno EOC Sanctuary Homeless Services this Christmas with gifts to put under their tree. This was just the first pick up so stay tuned for more next week.

Today we supported 2 important movements in our community. Spirit Day is the world's most visible anti-bullying movement inspiring LGBTQ youth, especially transgender and non-binary youth to live their lives in their truth and authenticity. We also continue to stand with our partners in raising awareness about domestic, spousal, and teen dating violence. National Crime Victim's Rights Week (NCVRW), April 23-29, raises awareness about the impact of crime on individuals, families, and communities.

We attended the unveiling of the year 2023 Crime Victims' Memorial Quilt held by our partners from the Fresno County Probation Department's James Rowland Crime Victim Assistance Center. It is a heartbreaking reminder of the effects of crime in our community.

In honor of Administrative Professionals Day, we’d like to thank Anita Ponce, Program Assistant and Araitzia Rivera, Office Assistant for all of your support to keep Sanctuary and Support Services running smoothly.
