This nonprofit started an after-school program to teach woodworking. Then a new mission arrived. - The Boston Globe A Gloucester woodworking shop provides mentorship through craftsmanship.

We are honored to be featured on the Boston Globe today! Thank you for taking the time to learn about us and for spotlighting the youth that we are beyond privileged to get to work with every day. They deserve all the recognition for their creativity, resilience and reminding us every day why The Cornerstone Creative exists

PT 2: We are so grateful to be a part of new community project, agriCulture! Our straight2work crew was able to utilize the skills we’re learning in the shop to build a large pergola, picnic tables and garden beds for Willowood community gardens and their revitalized gathering space!

Our big summer project; custom kitchen cabinets. This build has certainly kept us busy; requiring team work, steady attention to detail and the development of many new skills!

PSA for all local birds: new houses are hitting the market! No bird will want to miss the opportunity to nest in one of these well built, cozy homes.🐦🏠

Our community class this week was so much fun; everyone worked hard and to bring these birdhouse designs to life. Thanks to all who came out & enjoy watching your flying friends!

These adult community class class fees directly support & further the mission of our youth mentorship program! No prior woodworking experience is necessary to take a class. We will post our late Summer & Fall classes here and on our website soon. Stay tuned 👀 and we hope you’ll join us!

We loved making this custom sign for ! If you haven’t visited them yet, we suggest you run, don’t walk, to get yourself a poke bowl!🤤
The sign is made out of live edge ash slab 🪵 which was sourced locally and milled by our good friends at . It was laser engraved at Gloucester High School’s engineering lab. We 🤎our community!

The past few weeks we’ve been lucky enough to host a senior intern from . Solenn was a huge help and a friendly face around the shop. We’ll miss having her and we can’t wait to see where her talent takes her in the future!
