Caldwell Triumphant In National L-2
Edges Sheldon In USTA B18 Final:
Simon Caldwell won the B18 Usta National L-2 B18’s tennis championships on Monday. Seeded #2 in singles, he posted a semifinal win over the #3 seed Nolan Balthazar late Sunday 6-3, 6-0 to reach Monday’s final round.
In the exciting final, Simon outlasted #1 seed Mitchell Sheldon in a grueling three-set battle. Caldwell ultimately prevailed with a diving forehand pass at 9-8 in the third set tiebreak that ended the match and clinched the championship 3-6,7-6,10-8.
In doubles, Ethan Portnoy teamed with Caldwell for a 3rd Place finish.
Glori Caldwell Posts Nat’l Tennis Upsets:
Unseeded Glori Caldwell stunned the junior tennis world at the USTA National Level II 12's & 14's with her powerful ball striking, ousting both the #5 and #2 seeds en route to the G12's championship match. Despite winning the first set against top-seeded Reese Ellingson of Saint Paul, Minnesota, Glori narrowly fell short of victory, succumbing 5-7, 6-4, 10-7 in a thrilling final that showcased both players' impressive shot-making abilities.

Portnoy & Caldwell's Shine at Midwest Tennis Championships:
After 5 days of competition, Oliver Caldwell B14's and Glori Caldwell G12's each claimed 3rd place in their respective divisions at the Midwest Tennis Championships in Lansing, Michigan. Graduating senior, Ethan Portnoy, kept his National Championships hopes alive at the boys 18s event in Indianapolis, where seeded #24 he defied the odds to clinch the Feed-in singles title.
All three players will be back in action this weekend at various national level II events around the country.

Hackney Goes Back To Back……
Reid Hackney has posted consecutive tournament victories in advance of next weekends Midwest 14’s Sectional Tennis Championships. Reid teamed with Joseph Garrean of Ft. Wayne to claim the Memorial dominant Duo boys 14s team championship. He then followed that up winning the Western Michigan district singles championship in Kalamazoo.

Junior Tennis Player Takes Mens Singles Top Prize At Meijer State games Pickleball:
Ethan Portnoy, a talented 18-year-old tennis player from Grand Rapids and Racket Club, pulled off a surprise win in the men's elite singles division of the Meijer State Games Pickleball championships. Despite being his first time playing a Pickleball Tournament he emerged victorious.
The stakes are high for our three boys semifinalists in the Western Michigan championships. Who will come out on top?

Congratulations to Simon Caldwell who continues his march toward Grand Slam youth tennis.
Last week, Simon reached the singles finals of the Calgary championships. In the semifinals, he knocked off the number #1 seed Adam Afaragcao of Canada 6-1,6-2.
In doubles Caldwell and partner Zachary Cohen prevailed 2-6, 6-4, 10-6 to claim the events championship.🐺🐺🐺

Caldwell Takes Singles & Dubs At ITF Event:
Simon Caldwell(L) made the best of his first international experience at the Costa Rica
J 60 event in San Jose; winning both the singles and doubles.
 Simon saved his best tennis for the singles final upending the number one seed and fellow American Xavier Augustin 6-2,6-2. On Friday, Caldwell had clinched the doubles championship with teammate Arnav Bhandar.

Reaches Singles Final In Costa Rica:
 Simon Caldwell has won the doubles championship and plays later today in the singles final at the J60 Costa Rica International Tennis Event in San Jose.
Yesterday, Simon teamed with fellow American Arnav Bhandari to clinch the team title. Today, Caldwell seeded #5 will take on #1 seed Zavier Augustin.

Caldwell Makes Successful Boys 18’s Debut at Easter Bowl:
After a narrow three set loss to the #9 seeded in the opening round of the Easter Bowl, Simon Caldwell rebounded posting several wins to reach the FIC Round of 16.
The victories were most welcome as the yearly elite USTA L-1 event is often a graveyard for Midwest players comming off winter indoor play. The wind and sun of Indian Wells is a difficult challenge for professionals yet Simon proved his mettle in the desert. Well done…..🐺f
