Hey, everyone! It appears that Verizon has unknowingly put a block on calls to our Sipes office (828-256-3436) and our Hickory office (828-327-6026). They are doing an investigation to get this resolved but it could take a day or two. If you have Verizon, please use these temporary numbers to contact us:
Hickory Office (Adult services): 828-998-1623
Sipes Office (Adolescent services): 828-998-1626
Thank you and we apologize for this inconvenience.
Each quarter we review our surveys that members complete when they are ending a treatment service/group. The surveys have several questions and asks the members to rate their experience in that particular service/group. Here are some comments that we received last quarter:
"I am always referring friends and fellow addicts to this place. I love being a part of this program. This place helped save my life."
"Cog has helped me open my eyes to the way I need to treat people and how I should be treated. Let me know that I always have support when needed."
"This is the best treatment place I've been to, perfect."

We hate to make this call, but the field is simply too wet for vehicles to safely drive on without the risk of getting stuck. We apologize for the inconvenience and will notify everyone if we are able to reschedule in the near future. Thank you, always, for your dedication and support to the Town of Long View and Long View Police Department.

Each quarter we review our completion surveys that members complete when they are ending a treatment service/group. The surveys have several questions and asks the members to rate their experience in that particular service/group. We would like to share some comments that came from the surveys:
"I have come a long ways because of The Cognitive Connection. Special thanks to Heather and Sid for being such great supportive people and caring folks, thanks gain."
"I wouldn't be where I am today without the assistance and support of Cognitive and the staff. They are and will remain a big part of my long term recovery."
"This place saved my life and gave me a second chance, thank you."
We are so grateful for these comments and glad to hear the positive feedback. We have staff that truly care about our members and these comments provide a little bit of reassurance that we are making a positive impact in the recovery community.

On March 6, across the United States families and loved ones remember and celebrate the lives lost to overdose. This day has become known as Black Balloon Day.
Black Balloon Day has become a national and international event, bringing awareness to overdose deaths. As with many things with the opioid epidemic, Black Balloon Day began with a family’s loss.
Drug overdose is the leading cause of accidental death in the United States. Opioid addiction is driving this epidemic. Americans are more likely to die of an opioid overdose than they are from a car accident or by a gun. Black Balloon Day helps create awareness around the important issue of providing support to those struggling with substance use disorder and their loved ones.
Please take time today to send out some positive vibes to those that have been touched by this epidemic and if you know someone battling addiction, make a phone call and let them know you care about them...we are all in this together!
