Have you ever seen a poison dart frog? 🐸 Surprisingly, they’re a common sight at Lyon Arboretum in Manoa Valley! 🌿 Despite their toxic reputation, these brightly colored frogs aren’t native to Hawaii. 🏝️ In their natural habitats in Central and South America, they acquire toxins from specific insects, making them poisonous. 🦗 The absence of these environmental factors in Hawaii means our local frogs aren’t poisonous. Still, catching a glimpse of these vibrant creatures amidst the lush greenery is a must when exploring Lyon Arboretum! 🌺
