Getting our kids ready for our Parents’ Empowerment Institute! 🎉 For the first week, they spend 5 minutes outside of the classroom, this week it’s 10 minutes, and next week we’ll increase it to 15 minutes before our year-long program kicks off. 💪 This gives parents a chance to connect, get to know each other, and build a strong network. Let’s empower our families together! 💫

At Building Blocks Hawaii, we make reading fun and engaging by using books like Clifford Goes to School to spark excitement in our students! 📚🐾 Stories like these capture their imagination and help them connect with characters and themes they can relate to, making reading a fun adventure. By creating a love for storytelling, we’re laying the foundation for lifelong learning and curiosity.

Watching their faces light up as they turn the pages is what it’s all about! 🌟

Our SEL (Social Emotional Learning) puppet is a fun and effective way to teach our keiki. Through playful interactions, kids explore their emotions, learn empathy, and practice healthy ways to express themselves. Puppets help them connect to real-life scenarios in a way that’s engaging, safe, and fun! 🎭💬

Teaching emotions isn’t just important, it’s essential for building confident, compassionate young learners.

Shapes, blocks, and toys help teach children to identify numbers and understand their meaning. By incorporating scales, we teach them what it means to have more or less, making math both interactive and fun. These hands-on activities build a strong foundation for math skills, all while sparking curiosity and engagement in every lesson!

We love watching kids blossom! 🌱 Many of our students start out timid and shy, but through our supportive learning curriculum, they gradually become more outgoing and fully invested in their own growth. By engaging them in hands-on, personalized activities, we help build their confidence, curiosity, and love for learning. Watching them step out of their shells and embrace new challenges is what we’re all about!

Happy Aloha Monday from Building Blocks Hawaii! 🌺 A new week means new opportunities to empower our keiki through literacy and emotional well-being.

🌟 Learning Through Play at BBH! 🌟

At Building Blocks Hawaii, we believe hands-on activities are key to learning important life skills. Through interactive play, our students not only grow academically but also learn to share, focus, and manage their emotions. These experiences help build empathy, concentration, and emotional resilience, setting them up for success in and out of the classroom!

Huge thanks to the for gracing our keiki at Building Blocks Hawaii with her presence. The First Lady, Jamie Green, embarked on an enlightening tour, witnessing the incredible journey of discovery our little learners are on! She also shared her time by reading "Alohasaurus," a beloved local story about a dinosaur residing in a Kauai cave, captivating the hearts of our keiki. Their joy was palpable, and in gratitude, they presented the First Lady with heartfelt tokens of appreciation. What a memorable day filled with learning and aloha spirit!
