A severe storm with 60 mph winds is moving into NE Cobb from Fulton County. Avoid travel during the storm.

Tonight, we mourn the passing of Investigator Bristow, who has left this earth and gained his heavenly wings. He served our community with unwavering passion and dedicated his life to protecting the citizens of Carroll County. We are deeply saddened and at a loss for words. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers, and kindly respect their privacy as they grieve this profound loss.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for parts of Cobb County, including the Marietta Campus, until 4:15pm.

Tonight has been one of the hardest in the history of the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office. With much sorrow and grief, we mourn the loss of Deputy Brandon Cunningham who was killed in the line of duty earlier this evening. More information will be released in the coming days. Please keep our Sheriff’s Office family and community in your prayers.

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for parts of north Georgia, including Cobb County, until 10pm.

KSU Alert: Kennesaw Campus: An armed Intruder has been reported at Kennesaw State. Seek shelter in a secure location until further notice. Lock all doors and windows. Turn off lights and silence cell phones, if possible.
