Emerging Media and Technology major Josh Malone, ’24, is a technology engineer intern at Nationwide. Classes like Project Management and Team Dynamics prepared him for the teamwork and collaboration that is required for many jobs in tech. He also came in with sharp technical skills, gained from classes like Modern Web Application Development and Cloud Infrastructure.

Two Kent State University faculty who worked on the May 4 Augmented Reality Experience teach in Emerging Media and Technology.
The project uses augmented reality to help visitors imagine what the campus looked like 53 years ago, connecting them to previous generations in a way that technology has only recently made possible.

Final projects for Children's Literature in Augmented Reality are looking amazing 🤩
Students have spent the semester developing an augmented reality storytelling platform inspired by children's literature, in collaboration with Kent State Design Innovation and the Reinberger Children's Library Center.
They will be presented this Friday as part of the 2023 Virginia Hamilton Conference on Multicultural Literature for Youth.
