On Thursday, May 2, three honorees, Kamariah Miller, Dimaya Mayfield, and Katelyn Nguyen, were inducted into the SMC Wall of Fame during the Spring 2024 SMC Wall of Fame Ceremony.
The E. Timothy Moore Student Multicultural Center (SMC) Wall of Fame celebrates student leaders who are highly involved in the Moore Center. We really enjoy rewarding our students for their involvement and recognizing them for their hard work and dedication to our center. The SMC Wall of Fame highlights 6 students each year with their own plaque. This plaque includes a headshot photo and signature for each student who wins and the plaque is mounted on the wall for years to come. 🥳
We are looking forward to celebrating over 200 graduates tonight at Karamu!!

The Moore Center is searching for a summer intern!
The summer intern will assist with the Moore Center’s summer programming efforts, assist with administrative duties, and represent the Moore Center to incoming students and families! This is a wonderful opportunity to get experience in a higher education office setting, gain valuable professional development, and learn how to plan events and programs! There is also the opportunity for this internship to extend into the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters. 🤩
Join us as we engage in a meaningful conversation about microaggressions and how we can respond to witnessed and/or experienced microaggressions. Lunch will be provided! 🍕😏

Timothy Moore Student Multicultural Center will be hosting an in-person celebration for Karamu Ya Wahitimu/ Celebracíon de los Graduados. This pre-commencement celebration and final Rites of Passage is a graduation ceremony to celebrate the accomplishments of all graduating African American, Native American, Latinx, Hispanic and Multiracial Fall 2023 undergraduate and graduate students. A graduate speaker will provide remarks before students are recognized and bestowed with a cultural stole by a faculty member in their respective college.
Doors open at 5:00pm. We hope to see you there!
