Today, officials of the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) released the names of this year’s 16,000 semifinalists. VCS senior Cecillia Kim is among the less than 1% of the nation’s high schoolers who have been recognized for this esteemed title. She earns the opportunity to continue to compete to be a Merit Scholar and be among the 6,870 scholars to receive up to $26 million in scholarships. We are extremely proud of Cecillia and her amazing accomplishments. Congratulations!

Senior quarterback Everson Mathis rushed for a touchdown and connected with Hunter Bendis for a long passing score, while senior Daniel Adelson had a thrilling first-half pick-six.

Facing high-level competition, the Crusaders beat Hart High on games (40-35), but fell to Los Alamitos (4-2) and Mira Costa (3-3; 28-35).

VCS Girls Volleyball wrapped up the Kamehameha Schools Labor Day Classic in Hilo, Hawaii this weekend, placing eighth out of 38 teams from across Hawaii, California, Texas, Oregon, Nevada, and West Virginia — competing in the top Gold Division!

First chapel of the new school year in Middle and High School! Such a blessing worshipping and digging into God’s Word together! As we settle into this milestone school year, students were reminded that they are part of a legacy that stretches 75 years and what “The Village Way” means in terms of our guiding principles and values throughout our history. They were also challenged to carry “The Village Way” forward for future generations.
