VCS falls to Paraclete. Quarterback Everson Mathis threw touchdowns to Preston Mathis and Evan Gonzales, rushing for another 68 yards and a score. Senior Dominic Simon had a big first-half interception return of 80 yards to set up Mathis’ rushing touchdown.

Today, officials of the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) released the names of this year’s 16,000 semifinalists. VCS senior Cecillia Kim is among the less than 1% of the nation’s high schoolers who have been recognized for this esteemed title. She earns the opportunity to continue to compete to be a Merit Scholar and be among the 6,870 scholars to receive up to $26 million in scholarships. We are extremely proud of Cecillia and her amazing accomplishments. Congratulations!
