WRITING WORKSHOPS FALL 2022
One Writing Workshop will meet on Zoom Saturday mornings from 10 to 1 (pacific coast time) beginning September 24th. This workshop will include writers from all over the country and beyond.
Another Writing Workshop will meet in person in Silver Lake, Los Angeles on Saturday afternoons from 2 to 5 pm beginning September 24th.
The writing workshops will continue to be an open forum concentrating on new works and works in progress brought in by the writers: plays; screenplays; memoirs; short stories; novels; and poetry.
Each workshop is limited to 12 participants. The cost for a workshop is $540. for 12 weeks. There will be no refunds for missed workshops. The full amount is due up front unless an arrangement has been made with Craig.

Craig Belknap is a professional theatre, film, and television director with over 50 years experience. He was the founder and artistic director of Direct Theatre in New York which began the careers of such renowned artists as Sigourney Weaver, Christopher Durang, Alan Menken, Albert Innaurato, Howard Ashman, and Dennis McIntyre. He has directed such notable actors as Al Pacino, Kathy Bates, Calista Flockhart, Condola Rashad, and Dana Delaney and spent 20 years teaching acting and directing at California Institute of the Arts. He directed Neil Patrick Harris in DOGIE HOWSER, M.D. for Steven Bochco and his film TRAVELER'S REST was screened at over 40 film festivals world wide, receiving 5 gold medals and 8 honorable mentions. He was nominated for a Cable Ace Award for Showtime Television's 30 MINUTE MOVIE and has been conducting professional workshops in acting and writing in Los Angeles for over 25 years. Currently he is directing HONG KONG MISSISSIPPI, a new play by Wesley Du, set for production at La Mama in NYC April 2023.

The Writing Workshop will continue to be an open forum concentrating on new works and works in progress brought in by the writers. Poetry, novels, plays, screenplays, musicals, short stories, autobiographies are all currently being worked on. The Writing Workshop will meet Saturday mornings from 10 am to 1 pm beginning September 28th.
Each workshop is limited to 12 participants. The cost for a workshop is $540. for 12 weeks. There will be no refunds for missed workshops. The full amount is due up front unless an arrangement has been made with Craig.
If you are new to the workshops an audition/interview or writing samples are required. Also note homework and/or rehearsals are required in both workshops.
