Wait, you thought we were done? Nope, we’re still celebrating our amazing seniors, now official grads!! 🎉

Today’s senior spotlight is the wonderful Natalia! She is a Marketing major and shares that her favorite part of GFLMU was definitely the community. Natalia adds, “Practices and performances were so much fun because you were dancing beside your friends. I also loved that I got to learn more about Mexico’s beautiful culture and gained a deeper appreciation for its diversity of regions. Thank you GFLMU for being my familia ❤️”.

You will be dearly missed, but we are so proud of you!! 🥰

👏🏽 Put those hands together for the marvelous and talented Barbara!! 🤩

Barbara is an Urban Studies and Chicanx/Latinx Studies Double Major. When asked about their favorite thing about GFLMU, they shared, “Through GFLMU I was able to learn about different regions in Mexico and how each style of dancing and music reflects each region’s distinct culture. Being able to learn the dances made me feel connected to my culture in a way that I don’t feel otherwise. It was such a joy to be able to hear the music and try to recreate it with my body.”

You will be dearly missed, but we wish you the absolute best and we know you will do incredible things off the bluff. ❤️❤️

Today we’re spotlighting the fantastic Adriana!! 🎉🎉

Adriana is a Chicana/o and Latina/o Studies & Political Science Double Major. When asked what he favorite part of GFLMU is, she shared, “My favorite part about GFLMU was learning different regional styles of dancing. My favorite thing about GFLMU was performing at Plaza Olvera. Thank you GFLMU for giving me a sense of belonging and helping me keep my culture alive. ❤️”

We are going to miss you so much, but we know you’ll be doing incredible things and changing the world. 👏🏽 Congratulations!!

Up next for our Senior Spotlight is the amazing Andria!!! 🤩💖

Andria is an English major and Film, Television, and Media Studies minor. She shares that her favorite thing about GFLMU is the family it creates. She knew that she could always depend on her friends at GFLMU. GFLMU also created a safe space to learn about her culture and herself.

We love you Andria and you will be dearly missed. Congrats on your upcoming graduation!! 🥳

Monica is an accounting major and Spanish minor. She shares that her favorite memories from GFLMU are getting to meet all the amazing people who would become her best friends and getting to perform at Sueño and Olvera Street! Monica says “Thank you GFLMU for being my home on the bluff 🤍”
