HPGM is saddened by the passing of José Olivieri.
José was an esteemed lawyer, mentor, and amigo. He was deeply committed to making life better for all Latinos in Wisconsin. In addition to his expansive legal career, he was honored with numerous professional awards and community recognitions including the 2016 HPGM Executive Leadership Award. José was also one of the founders and past presidents of the Wisconsin Hispanic Lawyers Association, and a champion for equitable access to quality education for all Hispanics.
José’s enduring commitment to our community will be admired for years to come and he leaves with us a rich legacy of serving others and building the next generation of Latino leaders. We are forever grateful for his profound contributions to nuestra comunidad. José’s life-long passion for education and his ability to authentically mentor others significantly shaped the careers and lives of countless people. HPGM will honor his legacy of leadership, laughter, and impact.
José will be deeply missed. An adored husband, father, and grandfather, José lived an inspiring life that honored his family, his culture, and the community that raised him. Our prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time.
