Great resource and job fair on Saturday!

In honor of Black History Month and our commitment to the communities we serve, the Wisconsin Works (W2) and Food Share Employment and Training programs (FSET) in are excited to announce the Keep it 100 Hiring & Resource Fair – a groundbreaking event dedicated to connecting African American men with employers actively seeking diverse talent.

What attendees can expect:
1. Job opportunities: A diverse range of employers will be onsite offering employment opportunities across various industries.
2. Resource support: Access to valuable resources, including resume workshops, interview preparation, and career counseling.
3. Networking: Engage with employers, community leaders, and fellow job seekers in an effort to expand professional networks.
4. Community building: Focus on fostering a sense of community and empowerment among minority individuals seeking employment.

40th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Celebration 01/05/2024

On Monday, January 15th, the Marcus Performing Arts Center will be hosting it's 40th annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday celebration! Since 1984, the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Celebration programming has highlighted youth in the Milwaukee community who interpret Dr. King’s words through student contests. Winners will be showcased at a free celebration event held in the Marcus Performing Arts Center. The event will start at four and after the ceremony, there will be a free, one-hour concert featuring Anthony McGahee and Praise Motivated Choir.
