It’s that time of year again! 🍁 Leaves are starting to change & we’re gearing up for some fall baking! Join us THIS Saturday, October 7th for our annual apple picking excursion! 🍎🍏 Afterwards, we’ll be baking many of our favorites apple dishes 🥧. Transportation will be provided from the Union at 12:30 but *space is limited* so reserve your spot now by responding below ⬇️

Last weekend we were excited to welcome 150 new students from 19 countries with our annual Tour of Milwaukee! Thank you to everyone who participated for the first time and to the families, drivers, & students who volunteered. We hope to see you all as we resume our weekly dinner THIS Friday, September 8th, from 7-10pm for food, games, community, & our kitchen + office supplies giveaway!

1. Tour of Milwaukee is happening Saturday, September 2nd from 12-7pm. We are meeting at the UWM Union Ballroom. Students from all universities are welcome to this free & personalized event which includes dinner at an American family’s home! We also need volunteers so let us know if you are interested! 2. We are meeting for our annual KITCHEN & OFFICE SUPPLIES GIVEAWAY tonight (9/1) from 7:30-9:30 at: 3309 N. Hackett Avenue, Milwaukee WI 53211. We hope to see you there with any new students you have met!

Hello Friends -
We will be meeting outside the Lubar School at 2pm sharp this Saturday to give rides to anyone that would like to attend Amy’s Memorial Service, which will begin at 3pm, with light refreshments to follow. If you are able to offer a ride, you can meet us at that time too.

It is customary to hand write a note of encouragement or a sympathy card for the family after a loved one passes. If you also wish to contribute to a bouquet for the Stensbergs, please send us a message & we will share Venmo/Zelle info.

Help us to spread the word so that anyone touched by Amy’s life can take part as we grieve this terrible loss, celebrate an amazing life, and show our love and support to Amy’s family.

Dear Friends,
As many of you know, our dear Amy passed away on Tuesday, surrounded by her loved ones. We take comfort in knowing that she is no longer suffering and that she is with our Creator in heaven. We know that many of you have been touched by Amy and Rob's generosity, humility, kindness, and love over the years even while battling this illness and that many of you want to express your support for the Stensbergs. We ask that for now, you allow the family time to grieve with each other and that we will be pausing Friday nights until further notice. The best way you can show support for Rob, Girum, Sofie, and Ty is through your prayers and by attending Amy's memorial service on May 13th at Eastbrook Church (5353 N Green Bay Ave, Milwaukee, WI). The visitation will begin at 2pm and service at 3pm with a reception to follow. We are offering rides for anyone who would like to attend. In the weeks to come, we will also announce other ways our community can come together to grieve and honor Amy's legacy.
