Smile. Be Nice. Don’t be so emotional. 😡 UGH!
Come let out all the frustration by smashing some plates and other glass goodies! Upset about being catcalled? Smash a plate. Pi**ed off about racism, sexism, and homophobia? Smash a bowl. Annoyed with capitalism? Smash a cake platter. Classes and finals stressing you out? Smash a mug. Need to let go of the things no longer serving you? Smash, smash, smash. Write whatever you want on your plate or other object and smash it into the oblivion!
We will be located outside the Livingston Lord Library by the library porch just follow the sounds of the patriarchy being smashed to smithereens.
Feel free to bring your own glassware or smashware. We will provide safety gear like glasses and gloves. We will also provide plates and glassware (while supplies last) and hammers, bats, and even a golf club. WHO IS FAYE SEIDLER?
Faye: Hi! I’m a su***de prevention advocate that specializes in LGBTQ+ populations. I do this work because I’m a su***de survivor and I want to do everything I can to build hope and resiliency in North Dakota.
While I do serve all populations, my focus is making sure our LGBTQ+ youth in particular have hope, love, and safety. This is so important to me I’ve committed the rest of my life to this cause.
My work involves educating others, making connections, researching outcomes, writing grants, developing resources, publicly speaking, breaking barriers, desiloing services, and ultimately doing everything I can to build hope.
At the end of the day never forget you matter. And if you ever struggle, dial 988 for our su***de crisis lifeline or 211 to find general help, support, and a friend to talk to.
