Student Senate is the officially recognized voice of the Student Body at MSUM. Student Senate is YOU! Meetings are open to students, faculty, and the public.
We meet on Thursdays at 6 p.m. in CMU 205. We hope to see you there! If there is no one in the office during the posted hour, you could write your concern or questions on the black board!

Conversations are currently being held at MSUM (and other Minnesota State Universities) regarding the minimum wages on our campuses. These conversations are ongoing and no final decisions have been made yet, but the MSUM Student Senate has voted to recommend an increase in the campus minimum wage to $14/hour. Below is a formal letter detailing the Student Senate's position.
We feel that this is an opportunity for students to advocate for wages that more accurately reflect the value student workers bring to our community. If you have comments, questions, or want to get involved contact us at [email protected], or attend our meetings on Thursday nights at 6 pm in CMU205. We also have a few open seats and the election timeline for next year's Senate will be announced soon, so stay tuned for opportunities to get involved.
