Minnesota State University Moorhead President Tim Downs, Dean of College of Arts and Humanities Kyja Kristjanssen-Nelson, Senior Development Director of the Alumni Foundation Jenni Walthal, and Chair of the MSUM School of Art Brad Bachmeier enjoyed meeting and interacting with 60+ students and alumni at the Minneapolis Convention Center on April 4.

The Minnesota State University Moorhead Orchestra is presenting an upcoming concert called Dancing with the Stars! This concert will feature historic dances, waltzes, big band selections, and popular dance tunes. This concert will take place in the Hansen Auditorium in the Center for the Arts on Sunday, April 28 at 3:00 pm.

Minnesota State University Moorhead students helped represent the Art Educators of MN (AEM) at the National Art Education Convention in Minneapolis from April 4 through 6. MSUM led the nation with 28 undergraduate students attending the world's largest professional development opportunity for art teachers with over 4,000 attendees and 600 sessions.

Minnesota State University Moorhead's Jazz Ensemble will be performing their spring concert at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16 in the Hansen Theatre.

They will perform a variety of big band jazz styles and feature guest soloist Paul Liversage, a member of the MSUM music faculty. The concert will also feature performances by the MSUM Jazz Combo and Guitar Ensemble.

Minnesota State University Moorhead Dr. Amy Mercer will perform a piano recital this Saturday, April 13 at 2 p.m. in the Fox Recital Hall. She will be joined by Lyra Trio members Jane Linde Capistran, violin, and Elise Buffat Nelson, cello.

Minnesota State University Moorhead School of Art has invited Monika Fabijanska, curator of critically acclaimed exhibition "Women at War," for an in-depth conversation on the exhibit. Minnesota State University Moorhead School of Art's annual exhibition showcases artwork by MSUM students. This year, accomplished artist and MSUM alum Tom Weis juried the exhibition, selecting the pieces that will be on display. Awards will be given during the reception, which will take place on Thursday, Feb. 22 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. in the Art Gallery.

Due to a flight cancellation, pianist Fabio Menchetti's master class and recital have been moved to Saturday, February 10. You can learn from the accomplished pianist for free during the masterclass from 3 to 4 p.m., followed by his recital at 7:30 p.m. Both events will be in Minnesota State University Moorhead Roland Dille Center for the Arts Fox Recital Hall.
