North Central College Department of Communication

Thank you to all the people who donated to the Department of Communication and Media Studies during North Central's "day of giving" on Thursday. Your generosity has been humbling. We were hoping to get 10 donors... and we got 31 contributions. We were hoping to raise $1000. You gave a total of $2375. My colleagues and I are immensely grateful. Our students will benefit directly from your gifts. Thank you again.

If just 10 people donate --in any amount-- to the Department of Communication & Media Studies during the annual day of giving (tomorrow, Feb. 22), the chair Steve Macek will make an additional $200 donation to the Department. The money will be used to support undergraduate research, co-curriculars (WONC, the student newspaper), guest speakers and more. Now...make him pay.

Congratulations to Journalism and Media Communication major Fredlyn Pierre Louis! Last night he was awarded a major scholarship by the National Association of Black Journalists-Chicago Chapter.
