Did you know that in addition to challenging, therapy can also be a playful and creative space? Perhaps your challenge is to let yourself play or learn what that looks like for you, we can help! 🌈💥☝️💫
Sarah Jones can you be an official Guiding Light Psychotherapy spokesperson?! 🙏🙏🙏

Lolol same! Bring us yours!
A plea for compassion and recognition of our differences and the ability to put ourselves in another’s shoes for a moment, even if it’s painful. We can’t afford to remain blind to disparity and suffering. We won’t. Thanks 💕
If you’re waiting for the absence of fear to begin living out your desires, you may wait a lifetime. Let’s talk more about how you can take forward movements in-spite of your fears.
Via my homegirl ☝️🙌💗 This work is no joke sometimes! We see you and we so appreciate your efforts. Sometimes it’s enough (it has to be enough) to bring the body to therapy. Bring the body, the rest will happen in time. You’re doing great.
Hi! As therapists we aren’t so big into advice giving butttttt there are exceptions to every rule. Please consider this. Sure, yeah, working on your underlying envy/jealousy feels are virtuous but in the process, why torture yourself? You don’t have to be “the bigger person” you just have to be a person. Give yourself a break. Via 🔥
Sarah Jones with those wise words!! gold 🔥💋🙌💯
—though the whole house
began to tremble
and you felt the old tug
at your ankles.
"Mend my life!"
each voice cried.
But you didn't stop.
You knew what you had to do,
though the wind pried
with its stiff fingers
at the very foundations,
though their melancholy
was terrible.
It was already late
enough, and a wild night,
and the road full of fallen
branches and stones.
But little by little,
as you left their voices behind,
the stars began to burn
through the sheets of clouds,
and there was a new voice
which you slowly
recognized as your own,
that kept you company
as you strode deeper and deeper
into the world,
determined to do
the only thing you could do --
determined to save
the only life you could save.

“Think of a superhero first not knowing their power hidden within them. They usually feel different, or there’s something wrong or they feel lost. Then they notice their power for the first time. They have an Emergence: a moment of self discovery of a pattern you weren’t seeing before in yourself and then they learn to harness that power and use it for good.
This is how you’ll begin to feel during Emergence Therapy. All of those so-called broken things in yourself that most therapies say they will “fix”… Emergence says, What if you aren’t broken? What if you’re just waiting for someone to see your superpower? What if there’s someone that will truly see you for the first time in a new way that will guide you to harness that superpower? What if? Maybe knowing yourself and your power, you can save the world… now there’s a thought.” —You can connect with Jesse via our website to learn more about Emergence and his availability. When it comes to Psychotherapy, Psychoanalysis gets a bad rep. Antiquated, expensive, one sided and ineffective are some common ideas in the ethos. It’s the OG therapy with so many brilliant minds and hearts that have shaped the field for over a century. It does usually require a significant investment of time and money but the changes that can occur over time can be deep, effective and really exciting. Contrary to the popular Freudian behind-the-couch expressionless therapists, analysts can be quite engaging and interactive. Raina is currently in analytic training at the National Institute for the Psychotherapies and *loves* incorporating what she’s learning into her work. Contact her for more information, she’ll be happy to talk about it!
Btw not condoning abusive/coercive behavior here, often denial is associated with these behaviors making it hard to perceive reality. Denial is a natural psychological defense (we all experience) when faced with a reality that registers as overwhelming. By bringing awareness to the reality and accepting the reality we can help bring forth a readiness to change and...change. How free do you want to be? A therapist can *gently help you face what you’ve been running from, if you want.
All of us, no matter the clout. Do what you will with this reminder. We wish you the very best today.
Sigh, it’s true. Don’t mistake feeling “bad”with doing “bad.” If you need a reality check on how you’re doing ask a trusted friend. If you don’t have a friend to ask, ask us. You’re doing great.

Hi, reminder: We all f**k up, even therapists. We all deserve help when we do. You don’t have to suffer in silence, you’re not the only one.
Growth is a process and sometimes it can feel pretty rough. Hang on, this too shall pass. 🙏💗🌓
