💡Do you know?💡The local of Uran have been displaced for 38 years because of the Nhava Sheva Port expansion project which is now being funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). Initially, they were promised 17 hectares of land at the beginning but were only provided 1.5 hectares of land in a transit camp with no facilities where they have been living ever since.
For the recent expansion of the port , they weren’t consulted or provided any documents and they fear they will suffer more damage as now their rich zones have been decimated due to the reclamation of mudflats, construction of bunds on creeks, dredging, and regular oil leaks.

Tracking Development Banks’ COVID-19 Relief: At Three and a Half Years and Beyond by Jocelyn Soto Medallo
💡1,900 financed by 15 development banks globally, surpassing $210 billion dollars in .
Over a span of 3.5 years, and many partners diligently monitored the allocation of relief funds. The findings revealed that while a significant portion of understandably flowed towards to bolster their initiatives in response to the , as well as to provide crucial assistance in the realm of , a substantial allocation – approximately 32 percent of the total tracked funds – was directed towards private entities. This allocation aimed to address losses and challenges arising from the .
Furthermore, it's noteworthy that certain recipients within the public sector also chose to channel funds through financial intermediaries or extend support to private sector .
