Introducing our 2024 Gotham Cannes Producers Network Fellows!
This year's fellows are Deidre Backs (FANCY DANCE), Apoorva Guru Charan (JOYLAND), Gabriel Mayers (A DIFFERENT MAN), Jhane Myers (PREY), Giancarlo Nasi (THE SETTLERS), Stephanie Roush (STRESS POSITIONS), and Pierce Varous (THE FEELING THAT THE TIME FOR DOING SOMETHING HAS PASSED).
As the sole U.S. Partner for the Festival de Cannes Producers Network, The Gotham annually selects U.S. fiction and nonfiction producers to participate. Running concurrently with the Cannes Film Festival and the Marche du Film, the program is specifically designed for experienced producers to build up their international networks and learn more about international production, financing, legal, and packaging.
In addition, The Gotham is proud to support Gotham EDU partners Colgate University and Quinnipiac University by providing their students with Gotham resources, including the opportunity for students to connect with the Gotham/Cannes Producers Network Fellows.

We are thrilled to announce that we will be presenting the inaugural Gotham TV Awards at a ceremony on June 4 in New York City, recognizing outstanding television series and performances as well as celebrating icons of the industry.
The Gotham TV Awards will honor work in the following categories:
- Breakthrough Comedy Series
- Breakthrough Drama Series
- Breakthrough Limited Series
- Breakthrough Nonfiction Series
- Outstanding Performance in a Comedy Series
- Outstanding Performance in a Drama Series
- Outstanding Performance in a Limited Series

The Gotham TV Awards nominations will be selected by committees of critics, journalists, programmers, and curators. Separate juries of writers, directors, actors, producers, editors, and others directly involved in the making of TV and film will determine the final award recipients.

The 2024 Gotham Week Project Market is now open for submissions for the following sections: Spotlight on Documentaries, U.S. Features in Development, and the all-new U.S. Shorts to Features! bit.ly/GWPM
Set to take place 9/30-10/4 in Brooklyn, the Project Market facilitates career-spanning relationships with distributors, financiers, production companies, festival programmers, sales and talent agents, collaborators, and more, for all participating creators.
Past industry participants have included A24, HBO, IFC Films, Neon, Sony Pictures Classics, MUBI, Topic Studios, Sundance Institute, WME, SFFilm, SXSW, Tribeca, Hot Docs, and many more.
Recent Project Market alumni include Sean Wang's Dìdi (弟弟), Raven Jackson's All Dirt Roads Taste of Salt, Tayarisha Poe's Selah and the Spades, Jessica Kingdon’s Ascension, Nikyatu Jusu’s Nanny, Laurel Parmet’s The Starling Girl, Michael Dweck & Gregory Kershaw’s The Truffle Hunters, and Rachel Lears’ Knock Down the House.
And for the first time ever, submissions are open to both Gotham Members and non-members, with Members receiving exclusive access to a discounted application fee, special extended deadline, and members-only Gotham Week activities.
