STEM4Girls Day 2023 On Saturday, 10/28/23, the Kaput Center for Research and Innovation in STEM Education will be hosting our 11th annual STEM4Girls Day.

STEM4Girls Day 2023 registration will open to the public on Wednesday, Oct 18th at 6am and will close on Sunday, Oct 22nd at midnight (or earlier if the event sells out). The event is FREE but you must register to attend. Here is the link to register for this event:

We’re thrilled to announce that our very own Hamza Malik has been selected as a 2023 CEE-Change Fellow by NAAEE. Fueled by a commitment to building civic engagement and environmental responsibility, Hamza will spend the next 12 months contributing to his community through an action project focused on climate change and education. This Fellowship is supported through ee360+, a cooperative agreement between NAAEE and the U.S. , with additional funding from . Congrats Hamza!

Join us Wednesday, April 5th at 4pm for our final speaker of the semester, Dr. David Schaffer, "Quantitative Ethnography: Human Science in the Age of Big Data".
In this talk, David Williamson Shaffer looks at the transformation of the social sciences in the age of Big Data through the lens of Quantitative Ethnography, an approach to analyzing human behavior that integrates data-mining, discourse analysis, social interactionism, cognition, learning science, statistics, and ethnography to produce new and innovative ways of thinking that go beyond the old dichotomy of qualitative and quantitative methods and past simple mixtures of methods in thinking about data and data analysis.
