Providing fresh produce for children that might not otherwise have access.
Our first carrot was picked today from the Mission garden! We are so thankful for all of the Mission staff and guest support in making this garden happen.
It's a gorgeous day here in Olympia! I saw these artichokes on my walk this morning. The first time we took artichokes out to VegOut I was certain none of the kids would want them. The reality is most of the kids were excited to try something new and they get excited about veggies. What's your favorite veggie? I have been eating a lot of asparagus lately, so good!!!
50 more boxes from Farm to Family are heading out to our VegOut families today! I am stoked to be spreading Hap-pea-ness today!
We are so excited to partner with Farm to Family again this Friday. Such an awesome organization. 50 VegOut families will benefit from these 31lb boxes of Meat, Produce and Dairy!
It's that time of year again! We are in need of Easter eggs and items to fill them. Last year we delivered to over 500 kids and this year we plan to do the same! Items can be dropped off by March 26th at:
309 Washington St NE Olympia, WA
-OR-
Call 360-709-7925 and we can pick them up!
VegOut is in full swing at the Olympia Union Gospel Mission! A huge thank you to Hope Community Church, The Rebecca's, the Odd Fellows and so many more for blessing over 500 children this Christmas season!

Don't be fooled, there are a lot of kids that LOVE veggies! We are so thankful to receive produce from Safeway, Fred Meyer, Target, Bayview, Ralphs, Trader Joe's, Haggens, Rising River Farms and many other locals who simply have more to share! Have extra produce and don't know where to take it? Contact [email protected] and we will pick it up!
We are in full swing prepping for our biggest and best Easter VegOut EVER! Stay tuned for the smiling faces of the kids who will benefit from the generosity of so many. Happy Easter! 🥚✝️🌻🌄
Come on out and help us sort produce to distribute to children in low-income areas. Call Mindy at 360.709.9725 and she can fill you in. Have some fun, invite a friend, and bless a whole lot of children and their families!
Help us fill our Easter eggs by April 12th! We have lots of empty eggs and we need your help to purchase trinkets and candy for the children in our VegOut program. There are a lot of websites that have ideas of what you can put into the small eggs if you need help. Don't forget scripture, crosses, and Easter stickers. Please call Mindy at 360-709-9725 or send a message if you are able to help purchase items.
Can our VegOut friends help?
It's cold and we need blankets! Do you have a blanket or two that you don't use anymore? Please donate it to the Clothing Bank at the Mission. We take donations M-F, 9-5pm at 413 Franklin St NE & A St NE. Thank you.
