Our Story
Pasadena/Altadena Coalition of Transformative Leaders (“PACTL”) is a 501(c)(3) public benefit corporation dedicated to serving the needs of vulnerable populations in Pasadena, Altadena, and Pacoima.
PACTL’s Mission is to reweave the social fabric of diverse communities to help residents become active participants in their health and education through activities and services that build the capacity for youth, parents and professionals.
PACTL’s Vision is to serve as the transformative catalyst and community voice for unifying the diverse interests of youth, parents and professionals to shape social policy and put collective wisdom into action.
PACTL Priority Areas include education and health (physical, mental and environmental); capacity strengthening; civic engagement, promoting volunteerism and stewardship; indirect advocacy; improving access to health services for underserved communities; immigration remedies screening and referrals.
PACTL provides direct services, referrals to qualified service providers and innovative and unique programs, trainings, and workshops. PACTL’s approach is culturally relevant and staff reflects the minority communities it serves.
PACTL's unique, comprehensive, inter-generational approach involves working with the entire family in order to create sustainable, positive outcomes for our community.
PACTL incorporated in December of 2010 and formed a Board of Directors that includes Professionals, Parents, Community Residents and Youth.
