🌟 Celebrating Maria's Incredible Journey!

After 27 years of passionate service, Maria Ulloa retired this summer.

Maria has been a tireless advocate for survivors of intimate partner violence, transforming countless lives and shaping the way we provide services.

Starting as an advocate for adult survivors in 1999, she soon led our survivor support group, creating a safe space for women to break the cycle of violence. Her fearless advocacy, even through her battle with breast cancer, has been both passionate and compassionate, according to clients and peers.

Maria leaves Congreso as the Domestic Violence Crisis Team's Intake Coordinator.

As she steps into this well-deserved new chapter, we’ll be honoring her contributions and lasting legacy at our upcoming Hispanic Heritage Month Network event!

In this role, she will ensure the effective and efficient support of our program teams and the Chief Program Officer in advancing our Mission 2 Impact initiatives. She previously served as Vice President of Family and Housing Services, a position she held since 2015.

Congreso's Breastfeeding program concluded the month by hosting over 20 families at our Education & Training Center for a family day of activities! Our community members enjoyed food, community resources, haircuts, CPR lessons and a moon bounce.
