🔴 Teach your students to use AI like you teach them how to use the internet
🔴 Students have been using AI for years
🔴 One example of how to ethically use it — a manager wants to tone down a performance evaluation
🔴 When teachers know how to use AI, they can help not only students but parents

Audubon Mid-Atlantic – FAO Schwarz Fellowship 11/06/2023

Check out this fellowship opportunity!

🦅 🦢 🪴 ✨

The Fellow’s direct service work will involve conservation and environmental education in area elementary schools, leading our High School internship program, and presenting public programming.

The Fellow will support:

During the first year, the Fellow will teach in-school conservation education lessons to students at three partner schools four times during the academic year. In year two, that engagement increases to include another school and additional programs. Projects include an in-depth, fifth-grade community science study on freshwater mussels.

The Fellow will also teach at The Discovery Center for our Environmental Leaders internship program. These lessons will focus on career pathways and development, and environmental stewardship (how and why we take care of the environment).

Working in partnership with Audubon staff, the Fellow will participate in programs called “Discovery Days,” which have been developed in partnership with Outward Bound. These programs are designed to engage the communities of North Philadelphia. Program topics include conservation, bird-migration, native plant health, and environmental justice. In year 2, the Fellow will increase their engagement with our public programs—staffing our summer series, “Discovery Nights,” helping to create and lead a community game night, participating in sunset canoe trips, and teaching the migration portion of our summer stargazing summer program.

Fellow will work with summer camps from North Philadelphia during summer sessions, taking education to area camps, and welcoming groups to The Discovery Center for field trips.

Audubon Mid-Atlantic – FAO Schwarz Fellowship The FAO Schwarz Fellowship is a paid two-year program that trains new college graduates to become social impact leaders.
