The Business Model Competition was held Wednesday, March 8 in the Markee Pioneer Student Center. Students presented their ideas for a new product, service or business in front of their peers and a panel of judges. What a great night!

PACCE hosted its semi-annual Engagement Poster Day Wednesday, December 7 in Velzy Commons in Ullsvik Hall. Over 800 UW-Platteville students participated in a PACCE project this semester: These students gained first-hand experience and got a head start on their career by engaging with a community and faculty partner to complete a PACCE project. Ranging from ag to art, from education to engineering, each and every project benefited a community partner in some way. Congratulations to all the participating students, faculty & community partners on amazing work!

Repairing the harm: Students lead victim impact program Twenty-five criminal justice and forensic investigation students recently facilitated three sessions of victim impact programming for 42 inmates at Prairie du Chien Correctional Institution.

Congratulations to all the participants of the Elevator Pitch Competition! Kristi Jungenberg won 1st place for her Mobile Large Animal Lift. Teddy Koopman (RT) came in 2nd with his Cat Cast idea, and Derek Ripoli took 3rd place for his Steam Car idea. Great job to all the participants!

Students eMbrace service learning UW-Platteville students engaged with community partners in eMbrace, a one-day service learning project which took place on Oct. 8.

The College of EMS, WiSys, PACCE, and the Platteville Chamber of Commerce is hosting the first UW-Platteville Prototype Hackathon. Please sign up at the link above to tell us a little about the product you would like to create, or the problem that you would like help to solve. We will buy materials, and open the labs for you to use with a team that will be created around your project. If you don't have an idea, but would like to get involved with a project feel free to sign up as well! The best product will win $1,000 and admission to the WiSys portfolio.
