Not only were we able to hand out 11 awards during the Closing Night Party of St. Louis Filmmakers Showcase but we were honored with a Proclamation from the Mayor's office declaring July 28, 2024 as ST. LOUIS FILMMAKERS SHOWCASE DAY! Thanks to Mayor Tishaura O. Jones for supporting local filmmakers and the next generation of talent with the Mayor's Award For Best Student Film to Ava Farrar.

Missouri’s Motion Media Tax Credit program has been in operation for nine months, with several high-profile projects already completed and more in the pipeline. This episode of The Screen Lawyer Podcast will explore what we’ve learned so far about the program – specifically providing clarity and guidance on the application and approval process and taking us through film completion and submission of final expense certification – highlighting the role of the producer in putting a successful motion media project together.
