Our CHUMC & youth attended a Presbytery Youth Gathering on Sunday at New York Ave Presbyterian Church! They gathered with youth from across DC for worship, a scavenger hunt, and a Rise Against Hunger Service Project.

We celebrate these kind of opportunities for our youth to grow their faith and build community!

Children’s Fall Festival was lots of fun.

I love our CHUMC community so much. Even as difficult as this election season is, we are leaning on God, our cloud of witnesses of Civil Rights heroes, the beauty of the world, and each other to make it through this. This is such a beautiful community, and I know God will be with us no matter what happens.

Tonight the Capitol Hill United Methodist and Presbyterian Youth Group packed 29 cleaning kits for the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) to distribute to people affected by the recent Hurricanes in the US. Each of the 5 galloon buckets contains $75 of cleaning supplies for cleaning up flooded places. Big thank you to Xaiver and Kristen who ordered and picked up the supplies. Big thanks to CHUMC who donated $3500 for this project.

Contribute funds for our Joint Capitol Hill Presbyterian and Capitol Hill United Methodist Church's joint Youth Group to make Cleaning Kits. On Sunday October 13, at 5pm, our joint youth group will assemble cleaning kits for UMCOR to distribute. Each kit contains $75 worth of cleaning supplies to help people clean up safely after a natural disaster. 100% of what you donate will be used to purchase the supplies to make the cleaning kits.
