We are excited to see all of you back at worship this Sunday. We have worship at 9am and 11am.

Come to the Kick Off Brunch at 10am in the chapel for food and fellowship.

The choir returns to the 11am service. Join them at 10am for practice in the choir room in the basement.

NEW Children’s Church will now be offered during the 11am worship service. Children should go to the sanctuary with their adults and will be invited to children’s church after the back to school blessing at 11am.

We always have childcare in the nursery room with our nursery staff from 9:30-noon for children up to age 3.

A fun scavanger hunt for all ages.

Come study and have great discussions about the first two books of the Bible at Capitol Hill UMC for 12 Wednesday nights starting on September 11th. We meet in the parlor at chumc from 7-8:30pm. Explore the ancient and terrific stories in Genesis and Exodus, books that are full of characters who struggle to make choices just like humans today.

We will have a Labyrinth set up for walking this Sunday, August 18th, between 10-11am in our chapel at Capitol Hill UMC. Come and learn about this ancient spiritual practice for prayer and contemplation.

On Sunday a Labyrinth will be set up for you to prayerfully walk in the chapel from 10-11am. I will be there to give you an introduction to walking a Labyrinth if you have never experienced one. Ryan spoke about Labyrinth’s in his sermon last Sunday and we hope you will come try out this ancient prayer and meditation tool. An opportunity for hill staffers, or anyone else, who wants a mid day time and space for quiet, reflection or prayer at The Methodist Building (located next to the Supreme Court) on Thursdays between 12-1pm from August 22 to September 19th. Please share this on your social media.

Just Like Me - Vacation Bible School Day 2.

First day of Vacation Bible School. Thank you adult volunteers for your work and we are grateful for the children who are growing and digging deep.

We are ready for a week of Vacation Bible School at Capitol Hill UMC starting tomorrow evening. We will be gardeners digging deep and growing. Making new friends, learning Bible stories, singing some new songs and having fun together. Please pray for the children and adults who will gather for five days for JUST LIKE ME Vacation Bible School.
