Embrace the power of good posture – it's not just a correction, it's an investment in your health journey. 💪✨ Straighten up, stand tall, and invest wisely in your well-being. 🌿
Do you know that maintaining good posture is crucial for bone health for several reasons:
♎Alignment and Balance: Good posture helps align the bones and joints in the body, reducing stress on the musculoskeletal system. Proper alignment ensures that the weight is evenly distributed across the bones, preventing unnecessary wear and tear.
❤️🩹Joint Health: Maintaining a correct posture supports the health of joints, including the spine, hips, and knees. It helps to minimize the risk of joint degeneration and arthritis, as well as reduce the likelihood of developing conditions such as osteoarthritis.
🏋️♂️Spinal Health: The spine plays a central role in supporting the body's structure. Good posture supports the natural curvature of the spine, reducing the risk of developing conditions like kyphosis or lordosis. It also helps prevent compression of spinal discs, reducing the risk of herniated discs.
💪Muscle Support: Proper posture engages and strengthens the muscles that support the skeletal system. This not only helps in maintaining balance but also prevents muscle imbalances that can contribute to bone and joint issues over time.
🩻Optimal Bone Density: Weight-bearing activities, such as maintaining an upright posture, contribute to optimal bone density. Adequate bone density is essential for preventing conditions like osteoporosis, especially as we age.
So good posture contributes to overall bone and joint health by promoting proper alignment, reducing unnecessary stress on the musculoskeletal system, and supporting the body's natural structure.

To try out some foot circles and point flexes for yourself:
1. Lie on your back with one leg extended and the other leg bent and pulled up toward your chest.2. Clasp your hands behind the bent knee.3. Keep the foot on the floor pointed straight up toward the ceiling and your thigh muscles relaxed.4. Circle the lifted foot one way then reverse direction for the same number. ◦ Make sure the knee stays. The movement should be coming from your ankle, not your knee.5. For the point/flexes, bring the toes back toward the shin to flex, then reverse the direction to point the foot forward for the indicated number of reps.6. Switch legs and repeat.
40 reps on each foot in each direction.
The average person spends 4.8 hours a day on their phone. With 60 lbs of pressure being applied as we surf the web, you can imagine the damage to your spine.
Fixing your posture is the first step in combating text neck. Don’t wait until forward head posture develops into neck pain, shoulder pain or headaches.
Before and after posture therapy! What changes do you notice?
Here is a visual of what an asymmetrical pronated foot looks like notice how the left foot is more pronounced in comparison to the right foot. Uneven posture can affect the alignment of your lower limbs because your feet guide the movement of your whole body. And this is important for joint health, especially if you participate in sports.
Try this functional test to see if you have a foot imbalance:
1- Stand up and look straight ahead. Without shifting your gaze, slightly lift one foot off the floor.
2- Pay attention to what the weight-bearing foot is doing. It will either pronate or supinate. Repeat the test with the opposite foot.
3- If the results are different, you may have a foot imbalance.
Experiments show that people waste less energy when you increase sensory information from the feet and are better balanced.
