Megan is a junior who is majoring in Communication with a concentration in public relations and advertisement and a minor in writing. She is also a tour guide and writing consultant on campus. Megan looks forward to being a member of the career services team, gaining knowledge in the marketing field, and hopes to connect with students through our social media accounts. π

WSU Career Services offers assessments, counseling, and more to guide students through their career exploration and into the workplace after graduation.
The Career Services Office is located in the Student center on the 3rd floor. We specialize in helping students with career questions regarding major declaration, resume advice, interview tips, and much more. One on one meetings are also available through appointments. Career Services also runs a free site called Lancerlink where students can set up a profile and connect with possible employers and be notified of job openings. In her time at WSU as an English major, Julia Konow has gained hands-on experience through four different internship opportunities. Coming into her senior year, Julia decided to reach out to Career Services and learn how to best showcase her experiences in her resume and through interviews. Caitlin is a graduate student studying Occupational Therapy at WSU. When beginning the master's portion of her program, she worked in a graduate assistant position with Career Services. Caitlin says the experience was life-changing. The Career Services team helped her further develop skills in public speaking, resume and cover letter writing, and job searching.
Caitlin encourages students to not be afraid to explore their options before deciding on a career path and recommends that all students visit Career Services for help on their career journey.

Career Services offers a "What Can I Do With this Major" resource that allows students to learn more about what career paths typically connect with each major. Students can use this website as often as they'd like, whenever they'd like.

Stephen is a nursing major and with some guidance from Career Services, became a Residential Assistant on campus. During his work-study with Career Services he received help with his resume and cover letter helping him land the on-campus job opportunity. One piece of advice that Stephen would give to fellow students would be to not hesitate going to Career Services. βThey can give you ideas, plenty of resources, and it will only benefit you in the long runβ.
