75 years have passed since the 10th of December 1948 and the declaration of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR.)

From the right to education to equal pay, the UDHR established for the first time the indivisible and inalienable rights of all. It is a global blueprint for international, national, and local laws and policies and a bedrock of the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development.

The UDHR has inspired many struggles for stronger human rights protection and helped them to be more recognised - it's a reminder that we all have a role to play.

At Jobsbank we believe that access to meaningful, sustainable employment is a human right and we work with industry, governments and academia to create workplaces where people feel connected and respected.

Our Monday meeting with Professor Jo Ingold was truly empowering. Our much-anticipated Australian Research Council Linkage Project on Job Quality and ‘Good Work’, has officially kicked off with a big plan and a dynamic team that will be working in the next two years to foster more productive relationships between job seekers, employers and service providers.

📆 It’s

A day to celebrate the vibrant part of our social economy that embraces business as a force for good.

At Jobsbank, we admire social enterprises for many reasons: their vision, boldness, resilience, hard work, and commitment to the environment and the communities they're a part of.

They are and .

We value how our social enterprises design jobs; they break jobs down and carve them out; they design roles based on people's abilities and assist them in staying on the job.

Some provide long-term employment, while others serve as transitional employers, assisting job seekers in developing career paths and acquiring necessary skills.
