ACT Health Directorate (ACTHD), in collaboration with Canberra Health Services has guided and overseen implementation of recommendations from the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse (the Royal Commission) that relate to health services in the ACT.
The Royal Commission made several recommendations about the need to ensure that records and information that may be relevant to allegations of child sexual abuse are retained for at least 45 years, as they may prove vital to victims and survivors of institutional abuse taking civil action.

Claims will not be paid if clients attempt to use these cards. Clients have been notified of this change in advance and have been issued with a new RT Health card so can continue to claim without interruptions.
