๐ Join us to fight against racial discrimination! ๐
Did you know that more than three-in-five (63 per cent) people have a negative attitude towards one or more of the migrant groups from Asia, the Middle East, and Africa or one of the non-Christian religions. More than one-third (35 per cent) of people expressed a negative attitude towards two or more of the Asian, Middle East, and African migrant groups in 2023 but expressed only positive attitudes towards each of the groups from the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, and the United States. This striking discrepancy in the attitudes expressed towards European (and US) and non-European migrants is a worrying indicator of the potential racial prejudice held within Australia.(Source: Mapping Social Cohesion 2023 Report, page 72)
At IndianCare, we stand firmly against all forms of racial discrimination. That's why we're organizing an event to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination on March 28th, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
