APEC-Australia Women in Research Fellowship 2023

The APEC-Australia Women in Research Fellowship offers up to 20 women researchers from developing economies an opportunity to complete a fellowship at an Australian research institution over one to three months. Through accessing leading academics, facilities, and equipment at an Australian research institution, establishing professional networks and fostering opportunities to collaborate internationally, successful applicants will be able to further develop their own research interests and deliver high-quality research outputs.

Fellowships are worth approximately $10,000 to $20,000, which includes:
- An establishment allowance: $3,500
- A monthly stipend: $4,000 (paid up to the maximum program duration on a pro-rata basis)
- A monthly family allowance: $1,500* (paid up to the maximum program duration on a pro-rata basis) *if applicable

Please note that applicants need to be a female citizen and/or permanent resident of an overseas development assistance eligible APEC economy.

Key Dates:
• Call opens 5 June 2023
• Applications close 16 July 2023
• Shortlisting and assessment July – August 2023
• Funding decisions announced late August 2023
