The hardest thing we’ve ever had to do as a community was to say goodbye to one of the most amazing persons we’ve ever had the privilege to know. 💔 2 weeks ago we lost Chris Lewis, a truly inspiring man. Chris carried his own personal universe with him everywhere he went. It was filled with so much positivity and compassion, and it had so much gravity you couldn’t help but be pulled into it when he was around. We are so grateful to have known Chris and we had the honour of celebrating his life last weekend with this workout. Please feel free to do it. Just promise you’ll do it with a smile in memory of a truly special man. ❤️ 3/11/1971 - 12/11/2021
Last weekend our in-house comp was back for 2021 and what an epic day it was. So many laughs and some best dressed from our “Outrageous Thrift Shop” theme. Team Blue taking out the honours for the overall points for the day💙
Massive congratulations to the crew that made the big trip to the “Fittest in the West” yesterday. We are very proud to have you legends represent CrossFit Mooloolaba and we couldn’t have asked for better ambassadors. Looking at the results there’s no doubt you guys are legit fit and you’re only going to get fitter.

Episode 15; Fixing and avoiding imbalances with Dr Crispin Bracefield
We live in an asymmetrical world, meaning we rarely move in a balanced way. We use one hand or foot for many tasks, sleep a certain way etc etc. For the most part this isn't an issue however when it comes to training and loading the body we want to balance our mobility, stability and strength as much as possible. Front to back, left to right, in to out.
Dr Crispin is a sports Chiropractor at CNS Mooloolaba and owner and coach at The Movement functional training gym. Crispin gives us a tiny fraction of his knowledge to help us begin to understand the basic foundations of a balanced body.

Sports chiropractic is an evidence and movement based approach to the body. Assessing how the body moves in the ranges of motion required for activity and making sure there is strength, flexibility and balance where needed and using any proven method to get results.

With CrossFit it's all too easy to let the clock, the high achieving atmosphere and the loud environment feed right into your anxieties. We discuss how to have the right approach to CrossFit so that it supports your mental health and helps you become a more resilient person. We also talk about how to recognise warning signs and some actions steps for anyone dealing with potential mental illness.
James (Jimmy as he's known at CrossFit Mooloolaba), has long been an advocate of mental health and battling the stigma of mental illness. Jimmy started his journey with his own bout of mental illness before becoming inspired to help others. He's nearly finished his counselling degree and transformed his workplace at Energex to better support employees' mental fitness, providing large companies with a better corporate model. Jimmy's been there and done that, and he loves to share his knowledge to help.
