Sn**ch Push Presses are becoming Sn**ch Jerks - it's to work on your lockout strength and shoulder positioning. Particular attention is needed for those who 'roll' their shoulders while overhead squatting or sn**ching. Receive the bar in a fixed / locked shoulder and elbow position and keep them there; so it's the same whether you catch the bar in a high power sn**ch position, OR a deep position. Normal training hours are back tomorrow, and for those who had a break don't stress, take the focus off numbers and put effort and focus into training hard. We need to condition your body to get back to your usual 3-5 training sessions per week before we worry about PB's; you won't PB a deadlift with weaker legs than last month.
So for the next two weeks we're focused on training TOUGH ( for the Milenials):
- more reps (working around 50-60%, with only one heavy exercise around 75%)
- less rest (timed sets)
- time under tension, pauses to strengthen positions, and some bodybuilding exercises to failure; both will assist in starting to rebuild lost muscle mass 💪
All to adapt your body to recovery and training so you'll be back to your usual weekly training capacity, plus, I believe building a different type of mental toughness in the process 👊
So happy 2022, I know a lot of you were done with 21 by September, but let's get at this 🏋️♂️🐻 #2022 🔴⚫
