WOMENS HEALTH WEEK - SHAME & STIGMA
On day three of Women’s Health Week we talk about the shame and stigma that are associated with various conditions women may experience through different stages of life.
Your can head to jeanhailes website to find helpful fact sheets on -
⚪️ Menopause, bladder & bowel incontinence
⚪️ Intimacy & sexuality with incontinence
⚪️ STI’s & blood-borne viruses
⚪️ Chronic vulval pain
⚪️ Premenstrual disorders
It’s important to remember that there is often something that can be done to help. Reaching out to your health care practitioner or Women’s Health Physiotherapist is a great place to start. You are not alone in your experience and you don’t have to suffer in silence.
WOMENS HEALTH WEEK - COURAGEOUS CONVERSATIONS
It can be hard to muster the courage to speak up and speak out about women’s experiences when it relates to their health and wellbeing.
This is something we strive to foster through our 🌸 Women’s Wellness Series 🌸 - creating the space for women to have open and honest conversations about their health.
We recognise it can be challenging to find the right words or time to start the conversation about the impact of many women’s health conditions.
Today Jean Hailes for Women's Health shares tips and tools to help you talk to your health care provider about hormones, heavy periods, menopause, PCOS, endo and more.
WOMENS HEALTH WEEK - KNOW YOUR BODY
By becoming familiar with your body and ensuring you are up to date with all relevant health checks you can better understand what is normal for you to detect and address any changes sooner.
A few important health checks for women include,
🪷 Heart health checks
🪷 Cervical screening
🪷 Sexual health checks
🪷 Breast screening
🪷 Bowel screening
🪷 Bone density screening
Make sure you have a chat to your health care provider at your next visit to ensure you’re up to date.

Unfortunately in recent months we have been seeing increasing numbers of late cancellations and non-arrivals for appointments and classes.
While we recognise that emergencies, illness and unpredictable events can occur we often have individuals on waitlists to fill your spot, and sadly with minimal or no notice, they are missing out.
As such, effective from 1st September we are updating our cancellation policy,
🔹 You will continue to receive an SMS reminder 48 hours prior to your appointment.
🔹 A minimum of 12-hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a booking, both 1:1 and classes.
🔹 Failure to provide notice will incur a fee of 50% of the service fee. This fee is payable by the client themselves and will not be billed under compensable schemes, including Work Cover, DVA, Medicare. NDIS will be billed as per the Service Agreement arrangement.
🔹 Failure to attend an appointment may incur 100% of the service fee, payable by the client.
🔹 CLASS BOOKINGS - Failure to provide 12-hours’ notice, and in the instance we are unable to fill your spot, you will be charged 100% of the class fee. Or, where a Class Pass is held, a deduction of one class from this package.
We appreciate your understanding and look forward to continuing to help everyone achieve their movement goals.

BRAIN INJURY AWARENESS WEEK
Did you know the term brain injury encompasses any type of brain disorder or neurological disruption which is sustained, rather than from a developmental condition/s. There are a multitude of causes and long-term effects vary for each person.
The brain is a sophisticated organ that is comprised of many different parts. This is why brain injuries are so complex and differ for every person. Exercise plays an important role in rehabilitation from a brain injury, helping you gain control and autonomy with your condition.
The team at 360 Health Clinic can help facilitate this in Tamworth, Gunnedah and Quirindi. Give us a call on 6762 3639 Ext 3.
We love hearing how exercise has such a positive impact on our client's lives 🤩
And when they are able to recognise how the benefits translate in to their everyday lives it makes what we do all that more meaningful.
Tradies make up nearly one third of the Australian workforce, and almost 60% of tradies are involved in serious workplace injuries.
Tradies are incredibly reliant on their bodies to perform their role and this is one reason they are have a higher risk of injuries. Further to this, there is often the idea that "I use my body all day, I'm physically fit and strong". However, these day-to-day duties are often heavy and repetitive, and not great for our bodies long term.
Here are some of our tips to help look after the tradies in our lives:
🛠 Warm up before you start work: warming up will go a long way to ensuring you stay injury free
🛠 Work smarter not harder: Use good positions and techniques when lifting, If available use equipment to lift or ask someone to help with the lift.
🛠 Pace your workload over the day to avoid overuse and over-tiredness.
🛠 Recognise that construction sites are high-pressure environments - check in on your co-workers
🛠 Look after your health, your fitness, your diet, and your rest. You need them all!
🛠 Book a session with us! We can help you address those niggles, improve your mobility and help you get STRONGER, to keep you safer at work.
Last week we welcomed Hope who is doing her final 5 weeks of placement with us before she completes her Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology 👩🎓🎉

Congratulations to all the award winners and thank you for all you are doing for small business in our region.
Wishing our Lucy a very Happy Birthday! 🎈
We hope you have a wonderful day and have some weekend celebrations on the cards 🥳
NATIONAL STROKE WEEK
Know the signs and you could save a life.
The acronym ‘𝐅𝐀𝐒𝐓’ is a simple way to remember and identify the common signs of a stroke to increase responsiveness and act quickly.
F: Face Dropping 😔
A: Arm Weakness 💪
S: Speech Difficulty 🗣
T: Time to call emergency services 🚨
Time is critical
How can exercise help following a stroke?
✔️Exercise can reduce risk factors associated with stroke – prevention is key!
✔️ Exercise to restore strength, reduce the risk of falls and increase independence
✔️ Regaining motor skills important for ADL’s e.g. walking and improving transitional movements
✔️ Promotes neuroplasticity
The first 6-12 months post-stroke are the most critical. Following this, there is a plateau in motor function recovery.
Our Exercise Physiologists have extensive knowledge in supporting stroke survivors. They are able to provide evidence-based exercise interventions to assist with regaining function, improving mobility and overall quality of life to maintain independence.
Wishing our Charlee a very Happy Birthday 🥳
We hope you have a great day!

1 in 5 Australians aged 65-74 years live with moderate to severe chronic pain.
If you are living with chronic pain exercise may seem like the last thing you would want to do. You may have experienced an increase in pain symptoms during or following an exercise session which was off-putting. However, ongoing regular exercise over weeks to months can help to reduce pain and improve function and quality of life.
Our AEP, Sunita has collated a few of the BIG benefits of exercising for the management of chronic pain, you can read them here 👉 https://www.360healthclinic.com.au/exercising-with-chronic-pain
Always remember, exercise is NOT a one size fits all approach. Seeking the advice from an Accredited Exercise Physiologist will assist you and help you be successful in exercising with chronic pain.
Happy birthday to you Em! 🥳
Thank you for all of your hard work and continuous dedication to your clients and our team.
We hope you have an incredible day! 🍰
