Hi Friend,
It feels like we are in constant flux and change. Some days I feel like I’m on a roller coaster of emotions on the inside and from the outside.
The world feels like it’s moving faster and I can’t keep up … and it feels like I have to always catch my breath because things are moving so fast – from social media, culture, fake news, real news, thought leaders, influencers, church, work .. everything!
Are you with me?
And yet, through it all, the one thing that remains true, steadfast and firm?
JESUS.
His truths. His way. His life. I’m so grateful to know Him, follow Him and love Him.
SO, that’s why we just had to do a show about ADAPTABILITY.
How do we navigate change well?
How do we grieve loss well?
How do we pivot toward new things that are unfamiliar to us?
How do we keep choosing courage?
If we’re not adaptable, what are the repercussions?
I’m thankful that all these special guests are with me this week to chat about adaptability: Dr. Merry Lin (Psychologist, author and podcaster), Peter Lublink (CEO of Bethany Kids) Alyssa Esparaz (content & communications specialist), Hollie Taylor (radio host, podcaster, owner of Ten 16 Entertainment), Moheen Lombard (Mediator), and Mary Marantz (speaker, podcaster & author).
Their stories are powerful and honest and I learned SO much from them.
I’m also so glad that Cheryl Nembhard shares her Justice segment in this show and Joanna la Fleur shares from The GOOD WORD this scripture:
“I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” - Philippians 4:11-12
I love how Joanna reminds us that through Apostle Paul’s life we find out the SECRET TO LIFE … being adaptable and content no matter what you face today and in the future.
AMEN! That is my prayer for you and for me today.

Last Thursday, See Hear Love and Hey Meisha! had the amazing opportunity to host 7 young women leaders from Connect City (connectcity.org) to hear our personal leadership journeys, the work we do at Crossroads AND the challenges we have faced along the way .. and how we have overcome!
These amazing young women even had the opportunity to practice on our teleprompter in Studio A and be the ‘Host’ of See Hear Love!
These brave young women are from marginalized communities in Toronto and will be leading in their neighbourhoods this summer. YAY! 🙌🏽
Their leaders from Connect City reached out to us to ask if we would share our experience and wisdom on how to RISE, build confidence, be resourced and how these young women can continue to grow in their leadership. They wanted these young leaders to have an opportunity to ‘see other women who are more seasoned .. which will inspire them forward!’

Last Friday, Melinda had the amazing privilege of emceeing a very SPECIAL EVENING in the Crossroads Chapel.
The gathering was a beautiful testament to unity, worship, and vision casting. It was a momentous occasion as we celebrated YES TV’s recent acquisition and renewal of the Crossroads building —a significant milestone in our ministry’s journey!
We were deeply moved by the worship songs featuring the Royal Anthems initiative and our CEO, Kevin Shepherd, delivered an inspiring message on “Igniting Hope: Power in Unity,” setting a compelling vision for the future of Crossroads. YES!
It was a beautiful evening with our friends, partners, supporters, colleagues and families and we’re SO excited for what’s ahead for and 🙏🏽
Help! I’m Overwhelmed!
One Sunday at church, our minister asked the congregation for any prayer requests.
He went around the sanctuary, asking and listening to different people share. At the very end of the ‘prayer request’ time, a woman in the front pew raised her hand and shared her prayer request.
She was OVERWHELMED by life … and she wanted prayer for peace and some reprieve from feeling anxious and stressed out about the cost of living, wars and conflicts, work, responsibilities and relationships. As she spoke, I could feel the entire congregation connect with her, they felt exactly the same way.
And I realized .. that I was and I am feeling overwhelmed as well!
You may be feeling the same way too - whether you’re looking for a job, trying to pay your bills, caring for your elderly parents or spouse, navigating the teenage years, working through issues in your marriage, dating and trying to find your someone to love, stressed out at work, stressed out at the world’s conflicts, overwhelmed with the conflict in your own life, aging, and even what am I going to do when I grow up?
(I see you nodding your head!)
Are you with me? IF so, then this week’s show – HELP! I’m OVERWHELMED! is for ME and for YOU and that brave woman at my church! We’re sharing what we’re overwhelmed with and why and how we can encourage one another toward peace! We’ve got you and God’s got you too!
