The QMed MCAT Support Program is a free MCAT summer course for students demonstrating financial need, who otherwise may not have access to such preparatory courses. Our mission is to help eliminate barriers and increase equal opportunity in applying to medical school by creating a not-for-profit MCAT preparatory course, led and taught by current medical students at Queen’s University.
This year, we will be hosting a “Meet the Tutors” event, where prospective students can come to ask questions about the Summer 2019 program, Queen’s medicine or the path to medicine in general. The event will be held on Feb 25th at 5pm, Rm 021 School of Medicine Building.

Christine is a former medical school application reader/ interviewer, physician recruiter and career counsellor. She will be sharing her insights on how to prepare for medical school applications (plus, there will be pizza!)
This year, Queen's School of Medicine is hosting its 18th annual Health and Human Rights Conference, entitled Rx: Pharmaceuticals, Recreationals & Other Drugs on November 16th - 18th, 2018. This conference will explore various contemporary drug issues, including Pharmacare, cannabis legalization, and the opioid crisis. There will also be a number of workshops on drug and health care access. We've worked really hard to make our event as community-based as possible, with the help of local charities and community health centres, and we hope to offer as humble and as grounded a learning experience as possible.

Altitude is a program that is provided by medical students across Ontario that provides mentorship to first year undergrad students who have an interest in careers in healthcare, but who may face barriers such as being from a rural area, being the first in their family to attend university, having socioeconomic limitations, having a disability, or identifying as a visible minority. First-years who participate in the program receive one-on-one mentoring from Queen's medical students, and group mentorship about studying, wellness, and job-searching skills.

Hi everyone! The Health and Human Rights Conference at Queen’s (HHRC) is currently looking for executive team members for the planning committee of the 2018 Health and Human Rights Conference. This conference is an annual event run by the School of Medicine that seeks to engage students and community members on topics relevant to health and human rights in both international and local contexts. The Western Student Research Conference - WSRC is opening up applications to be a CAMPUS REPRESENTATIVE for our conference! The position is open to anyone currently attending a University or College in Ontario. (We are not looking for students attending Western University).
The Campus Representative position involves promoting and advertising the conference to attract all faculties and years, introducing WSRC to various departments at your school, and communicating regularly with the WSRC team at Western University.

The Canadian Undergraduate Conference on Healthcare (CUCOH) is a three-day conference that enables undergraduate students to engage in hands-on workshops, discussions and seminars that showcase the multidisciplinary nature of healthcare. Not only is CUCOH the largest conference at Queen’s University, but it is also the largest student-run healthcare conference of its kind in Canada. Last year, CUCOH was pleased to welcome over 400 undergraduate students from 21 universities across Canada.
