Welcome to Queen's First-Year Off-Campus Community! Join us and Register: https://bit.ly/3aWQEnc

The First-Year Off-Campus Community is a community for all first-year students living off-campus during their transition to Queen’s

Each year, 5-10% of students live off-campus in their first-year, and the First-Year OCC offers inter-faculty events, supports, and upper-year leaders to help ease the first-year transition.

Our Story

Each year, about 5-10 percent of first year students choose not live in residence. FYNIRS (First Year Not In Residence Students) at Queen's is an inter-faculty orientation and community offered to first year students arriving at the university, who for a number of different reasons decide not to live in residence.

We host many awesome events throughout the year including bake sales, skating, movie nights, trips to the farm, exam care, and much more. In addition FYNIRS has a lounge

dedicated exclusively to give a space to relax between classes, warm up your lunch, and take a break. The lounge has microwaves, a mini kitchen, fridge, couches, board games, play station, TV, and so much more.
