The Great Eastern 2022 is finally here! We are buzzing to catch some incredible artists across Summerhall & The Queen's Hall, Edinburgh 🥳

Please read below important information ahead of coming to TGE!

• Wristbands
Festival ticket holders will need to collect their wristbands and programmes before they can access any venues. The wristband collection point is at Summerhall's Courtyard. Collection will be open from 1pm until approximately 10pm at night. The collection point is right through the entrance of the Summerhall, past the main entrance (there will be plenty of signage). Anyone wishing to purchase a ticket on the day can also head to the Box Office at Summerhall.

Please remember to grab a festival brochure after you get your wristband!

• Stage Times
Here are your official stage times and stage splits via Clashfinder - https://bit.ly/TGEclash

There may be points during the festival when venues or rooms might be at capacity - so if anyone really wants to see a specific band they are heavily advised to head there earlier than just before their set. Times are subject to change throughout the day, but this will be updated on Clashfinder and via our socials.

• Mask wearing
Covid is still amongst us and although laws have now changed in regards to face masks in Scotland, we ask all festival attendees to respect anyone’s decision to continue to wear a mask throughout the day. This includes TGE, Summerhall & Queens Hall staff, artists and other festival attendees. We want everyone to feel comfortable and have a great day without worry!

• Food at TGE
We’ve teamed up with Dough Pizza & Bonnie Burrito in Edinburgh! Dough Pizza are offering 10% off for anyone with a festival wristband and Bonnie Burrito have a 20% discount with code THEGEF20

Dough Pizzeria & Delivery - 47 South Clerk Street - https://dough-pizza.co.uk/

Bonnie Burrito - https://bonnieburrito.com/menu/

• Weather
It looks like it's going dry with some rain expected in the afternoon. We advise some waterproof clothing or an umbrella to have handy on you throughout the day!

And that's about all the info you need right now! Please remember to be considerate of residents and neighbours, don't drop litter when you're walking between venues, be nice to staff and other gig goers when you're at gigs, and just have a bloody good time!

Much love
Team TGE x
